bronx TOWNHOUSE RENOVATION

When our clients first came to us they tasked us with creating their “forever home” and thus we embarked with them on a deeply collaborative process to create something that would uniquely fit their needs for years to come.  The window openings were enlarged to maximize light and create a connection to the outdoors.  Interior partitions were removed on the garden level to create a flexible artist’s studio and study and the parlor level was opened up to create a communal living and dining space perfect for the relaxed entertainment atmosphere that is indicative of the client’s lifestyle.  RWA designed custom millwork pieces throughout:  from shelves that fit the client’s much-loved hat collection to a kitchen island that pays homage to their favorite artist:  Donald Judd.
