Shannon and Tom decided to start RWA after developing a close, collaborative relationship while working together at their prior firm. They have a mutual desire of putting people and relationships at the forefront of the design process. Empathy, collaboration, and respect form the basis of our approach to architecture: for building better communities and in regards to each other, our team, our clients, and our partners in the construction industry. We come to the table with open, curious minds and work through the design process with the team to find a shared, attainable vision for each project.
RWA is committed to providing thoughtful and creative solutions in architecture and interior design that are responsive to the unique needs of each project. We are licensed to work in over 22 states and have over 40 years of combined experience in the profession. RWA is a woman-owned boutique firm where clients have direct and meaningful communication with the firm's leadership.

Shannon is co-founder and Managing Partner of RWA. Shannon's background as a classically trained ballet dancer informs her understanding of the intersection of human behavior, design and the environment. To her, architecture is one of the ultimate and yet most basic human endeavors and at its best has the ability to elevate our everyday experiences.
Prior to co-founding RWA, Shannon was a Principal at ADG, PC working as a Senior Designer and Project Manager for ADG's New York based projects. She received a BA in Art History from the University of San Diego and a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute. She is a Registered Architect in NY & NJ.
