The clients came to RWA after a building fire forced the clients into a surprise renovation. RWA was tasked with creating a place that was both new while also connecting with the memory of the apartment before – an apartment the clients had lived in for 40+ years. Bold colors based on the paintings of Frieda Kahlo were used throughout the apartment to complement the owners’ extensive art and antiques collection. The team used the opportunity to add upgrades to the apartment including an additional bathroom and updated fixtures and finishes throughout.
