In September 1994, the Governor of Oklahoma signed legislation creating the Native American Cultural and Education Authority (NACEA). The agency was authorized to construct, maintain, and operate the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum in the State of Oklahoma. The concept for The Center is a place where Native Americans can tell their stories and share their experiences with the world on 300 acres in Oklahoma City.
We were hired to provide agency representative services to the NACEA. In this role, the firm is providing program management services for site acquisition, team assembly, and design and construction oversight for the $175 million project. We have been instrumental in coordinating multiple members of the design and construction team as well as planning the multiple phases consistent with funds available for the project.
